DESCRIPTION:The Sparta Free Library is hosting three discussions of Daniel Jose Older's novel\, Shadowshaper\, before his visit to Sparta on November 5.\n\n\n\nAfter the murals in her community start weeping real tears\, Sierra discovers shadowshaping\, a thrilling magic that infuses ancestral spirits into paintings\, music\, and stories. But someone is killing the shadowshapers one by one - and the killer believes Sierra is hiding their greatest secret. Now she must unravel her family's past\, take down the killer in the present\, and save the future of shadowshaping for generations to come.\n\n \n\nLight refreshments will be served.  Please attend the discussion that best fits your schedule.\n\nCopies of Shadowshaper are available at the library to borrow and return after the discussion.\n\n(Teens are students in grades 6 - 12.)
