Saturday, October 9th. The Half Marathon begins at 8:00 AM, the 5K Walk/Run begins at 8:15 AM. Packet pick-up at the railroad depot on Friday, October 8th from 10 AM - 6 PM and again on Saturday prior to the race from 6:30-7:45 AM.

The race starts and finishes at the historic railroad depot, 111 Milwaukee St, Sparta.

Description
The Sparta Half Marathon/5K course is run on the scenic Sparta-Elroy bike trail. Racers will enjoy colorful scenery while running on a beautiful fall morning. Race Director Andy Hutson and his team put together a great event each year. This race is part of Sparta’s Fall Fest celebration, so be sure to head downtown after you've crossed the finish line.
