Description
"Stand-up for our Veterans" is a comedy tour that is raising awareness and funds for veterans in need.
We work with local veterans assistance organizations.
This tour donates a portion of proceeds to our local Tomah VA. Out of the total homeless population, 13% are veterans. That translates to nearly 80,000 veterans who are homeless at some time during the year. These men and women that served their country in times of war and peace. Another 1.4 million veterans are considered at-risk of homelessness due to poverty, lack of support networks, and dismal living conditions in overcrowded or substandard housing.
Kevin Cahak is a comedian and comedy club owner that can be seen on Showtime and Pauly Shore's documentary "Pauly Shore Stands Alone"
Luke Borchardt is a comedian and Military Veteran that works as a Case Manager for homeless veterans Minnesota Assistance Counsel for Veterans.
