Description
Family Promise of Monroe County will host a "Taste of Homelessness" fund raising event to kick off Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week. A Dance from 7-9 pm with live music provided by Sound Decision, Silent Auction, Door Prizes and other family friendly activities will be part of this evenings events. If you have a good chili or soup recipe you are encouraged bring out a crock pot full and we would all love to sample it for the Chili/Soup Tasting. The event can last well into the morning as participants may choose to sleep overnight in their cars to feel what it may be like to experience homelessness. It will be a good night to bring family and friends together for a fun time while we raise awareness and funds for Family Promise of Monroe County.
