News Director - Small Market Radio

We're looking for a passionate and flexible News Director to lead local news in the La Crosse area.  This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves being at the heart of the community.

 Responsibilities:

•  Write, edit, and produce compelling local news stories for radio.
• Anchor daily newscasts and deliver accurate, timely reports
• Maintain a strong presence at local events, breaking news scenes, and community meetings.
• Develop and maintain sources throughout the La Crosse region.
• Work flexible hours including early mornings and evenings when news breaks.

• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Solid news judgement with an ear for radio-friendly copy.
• Ability to work independently in a small newsroom environment.
