Position Title: Teen Program Coordinator
Department: Programs
Salary: Hourly wage based on experience, years of service & education
Status: Permanent Part-Time with PTO and flexible work schedule between 28-30 hours a week
Position Summary: The Teen Program Coordinator oversees the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and activities in the five core program areas for youth in grades 6 through 12 during out-of-school time. This position may also supervise assigned program staff and volunteers who work with the Club’s homework programs, enrichment activities, and career readiness programs.

Relationships:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain, or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.
External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other to assist in resolving problems.
Skills/knowledge preferred:
• Four-year degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• planning, and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
• Proven history with classroom management, youth team management, or management of youth in a group setting in grades 8-12.
• Proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff and volunteers
• Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
• Mandatory CPR, First Aid Certifications, Child Abuse Prevention & Recognition training, Mandatory Reporting Training.
Physical requirements/work environment: High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects; good interpersonal abilities; ability to interact effectively with co-workers of all levels as well as with representation of other organizations and institutions. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tact, maturity, and flexibility; physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting, standing, stooping, running, and the ability to lift 30 pounds. Must be able to function under fast-paced and noisy conditions. Noise levels in the work environment will fluctuate from moderate to high.
